sacred relationship
Sitting on a mountain of chi
My energy coils
A cobra in my belly
Dangerous, untapped,
Turned inward
What would be the cost of freeing her?
A fire unchecked destroys worlds
It must be cultivated carefully
Contained in a circle of earth or water
Allowed to dance furiously
Within the boundaries of trust.
Will you hold me as my flames
Lick the sides of your soul?
I cannot promise we will not burn
Alchemy requires it
All that is unnecessary sizzles
Fat on a fire
The dross
Must rise to be lost.
I am you, you are me
The alloy of we
Melts molten into something new
It will the fiercest joy
Pain we might die from,
Passion we swear has killed us,
Truth that leaves us bleeding out.
We will obliterate identities
Die in transformation.
It is not for the faint of heart.
It will not be easy.
We will choose again and again
To walk through the fire.
Any less is less than me.
And all of me requires
Nothing less than all of you.
